Laura Davies, M.A. Jimenez are WINNERS!

Laura Davies captured her 75th career win this weekend in Austria, at the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open. This was her 3rd win this season and also her 3rd win at this event! She won in 2007, 2008 and placed 2nd in 2009. The win came down to the final hole, when Davies pitched it to within 6 ft from the greenside bunker and then sunk the putt. She carded a total 205, -11 to finish one stroke ahead of Virginia Lagoute-Clement of France.

With Laura having so many wins, she was asked if she was nervous on that last hole. She most certainly was she said. She said that this is what it's about; the final hole and trying to calm yourself to get the win. Next up for Laura is France and Spain in the next 2 weeks. Her goal is to play alot of tournaments and finish well on the Henderson Money List. I think she's well on her way to claiming that goal!

Known for his cigar smoking and flowing curls, Miguel Angel Jimenez captured a win today at The Omega European Masters in Switzerland. He also shot his lowest round a 61, of his 27 yr career. At a mere 46 years young, this was his 3rd win of the season. This win also made him the first European to win 3 European Tour events in the same year, since Johan Edfors did so in 2006! He posted rounds of 67, 61, 68 & 67 respectively. Miguel has had 1 Challenge win and 18 European tour wins in his career. He has placed in the money in 18 of his 22 events this season. He will continue on in The Race to Dubai, which consists of 47 tournaments and ends at the Dubai World Championship in Dubai, United Arab of Emirates. The 2009 Dubai World Championship was won by Enland's own Lee Westwood, who has missed several tournaments due to a calf injury this season. So keep your eyes open for the curly locks and the smell of a good cigar, and there you will find Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Jason Day remains the leader after 3 rounds, with 1 to go yet Monday.
Jason carded rounds of 63, 67, and 66 respectively through today's play and sits at -17, 196. He had 6 birdies today and only 1 bogey, after 4 birdies in his second round. The first round was a jump start that made all the difference for him, with 10 birdies (YES 10!) and only 2 bogeys!

Currently Matt Kuchar maintains the lead in the 2010 FedexCup Points Standings, after last week's win, followed by Steve Stricker, Martin Laird, Justin Rose and Ernie Els. Kuchar sits in a tie for 13th place currently at The Deutsche Bank Championship with a -10, 203. Matt posted prior rounds of 66, 65 and 72 respectively. A big THANK-YOU to tweetfriend @JPerez31 for updating me on tomorrow's playing status; as I was off into the countryside with family today! Muchas Gracias!!!!
