The ladies head down to Rogers,Arkansas this week for their only tournament this month. Jiyai Shin is the defending Champion who went to -9 to beat Angela Stanford & Sun Young Hoo in a two-hole sudden death playoff. It will be a 54 hole format this week. The tournament will be hosted by the Pinnacle Country Club which plays 6284 yards for this Par 71 course. This is the 4th year for this tournament which began in 2007.
I'm going to go out on a limb and state that the winner will have to shoot a -12 or better to claim the title this year. With the yardage that some of these women athletes bring to the course, I feel it's a challenge they are ready for!
Last week's winner Michelle Wie, who now ranks #7 in the Rolex Rankings will be there in addition to #1 Ai Miyazato, #2 Cristie Kerr, #3 Suzann Pettersen and #4 Jiyai Shin (who is the defending champion).
