Alabama is the next stop on the LPGA , Oct. 7-10th. We will be back to a 72 hole format. The RTJ Golf Trail, Capitol Hill, The Senator in Prattville, Alabama will play host to this tournament which started in 2007. The course is a par 72 and plays 6460 yds.
The 2009 champion was Lorena Ochoa, who has since retired. Last year, she posted rounds of 66-68-66-70 to finish at -18 under and take home the trophy! She defeated Michelle Wie and Brittany Lang by a 4 stroke margin.
Television coverage will be by the GC from 6:30 - 8:30 PM ET all 4 days of the Tourney.
The LET Tour just had the "Open de Espana Femenino" Sept. 16-19th; which Britain's Laura Davies won after shooting a final round par 71. This was also her 76th careet title! They too had to deal with weather delays; with the postponement of the 2nd round by a day. Congrats on the win & 76th Career Victory!
One of my favorites, Christina Kim was there to play as well and claimed 2nd place with a final round 65! She was the only American to finish in the Top Ten. Congrats to CK!
The next travel after this month in Alabama, will be back to Europe on Oct. 22-24, for the Sanya Ladies Open. Yalong Bay Golf Club, Sanya, Hainin Province, China as the host of this tourney on the LET Tour.
