The women on the LPGA Tour were so great and appreciative of all the work that the Volunteers were doing. Katherine Hull came up to me specifically to Thank me. She has some physical changes from last season, with a very fit and trim physique and growing her hair longer (up in a pony tail today). Also showing appreciation were, Amanda Blumenhurst, Se Ri Pak, Christina Kim and several more. These ladies have Class!
I got to meet Christina Kim, who after learning I was ladygolfer2 from twitter and my blog....gave me a hug. She had her always sunny disposition today. In her group for the Pro Am, were different physicians. Before they left the #1 Tee, Christina says "now who fixes what"? She always brings cheers and laughter from the crowd and today, those fortunate enough to be playing with her. She was decked out in a fabulous "Bright" orange top with white capri's and her signature fedora style hat.
Michelle Wie as always brought a presence with the gallery following her. She was in a black golf dress; which is why in the photos I tweeted this afternoon, it is hard to pick her out against the dark backdrop of housing to the northeast side of #1 Tee.
Jiyai Shin had to withdraw after some play today, due to an emergency appendicitis that required surgical intervention. She was very regretful to have to let her fans down. WE understand completely Jiyai.....GET WELL SOON!
Juli Inkster was grabbing a quick bite to eat before teeing off on #1, after practicing on the range. I did hear her and her caddy say something was pretty spicy too! LOL As always, a jokester!
I hope to have some good postings tomorrow evening at some point & tweeting will be hard to do during the round. So, enjoy the tournament all you FANS! Either in person or you can catch this each evening on the Golf Channel. Not sure why the post says 5:11, it is 7:14 and a cool shower and some dindin is calling my name! Ciao
