Panther Creek Country Club is a beautiful course and became host of the StateFarm Classic when the tourney moved from the previous course, The Rail. The Rail was host of this tournament from 1976-2006. This year is the celebration of the 35 years of the tournament. The weather for the tourney is currently said to be in the 80's. Thus far, it is looking good for the tourney rounds Thursday through Sunday. Television coverage will be on the Golf Channel on June 10th 6:30-8:30 pm ET, June 11th 6:30-8:30 pm ET, June 12th 6:30-9:30 pm ET and Sunday June 13th 7:00-9:30 pm ET.
Reigning champion In-Kyung Kim will be there to defend her title as well as Suzann Pettersen, who has been teetering on the brink of a win and has been a contender in many recent tournaments. Morgan Pressel, who recently won in Brazil and of course Se Ri Pak, Ai Miazato, Jiyai Shin and many others are also readying themselves for a battle. Christina Kim will be on hand to get back into the top 10.
